Sue and Will's Dock2Dock 2022 page

On the 14th February 2020 my brothers heart stopped beating, after many attempts to restart his heart he was taken to the ICU at Russell's Hall Hospital where he was placed on a life support machine. A week later on the 20th we were told it was time to let him go. Paul finally passed away on the 21st February. The doctors and nurses on the ICU ward were amazing with the way they cared for Paul and all of the family so we would like to give them something back in Paul's memory.
After taking up open water swimming last spring I decided I needed to set myself a challenge. With Wills encouragement we signed up to do the Dock 2 Dock swim in London's Royal Dock. Will is swimming the 5k and I'm attempting the 3K!! I'm sure Paul will be looking down on us on the 3rd September laughing his head off but also cheering us on every step (or swim!) of the way.
If you can spare a £1 or two for the nurses and doctors on the ICU that would be fantastic, not just for the care they gave to my brother and family but also for the many patients they have cared for over this last 2 years.
Thank you
Sue and Will xx
