Pier to Pier 2021 · 17 July 2021 ·

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

We are five colleagues - James Dafforn, Joff Brooker, Megan Greenwood Mace, Rob Wilson and Sean Corrigan - from Fleur Homes who have decided to undertake the 32-mile ‘Pier-to-Pier Challenge’ leaving from Great Yarmouth pier and walking to Cromer Pier on Saturday 17th July in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH).

A team from Fleur Homes completed the challenge in 2019 and with such great feedback… along with stories of blisters and wild weather, we have decided to put another team together.

As a team, we’re all impressed by the fantastic work that EACH does in supporting families and caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia.  It is meaningful to us as we have children and the thought of them ever needing a charity like EACH, at any point, is great motivation to support them.

To ensure we can meet the challenge of a 32-mile walk, we have all started a regular fitness regime in preparation and plan to get from Pier to Pier in as quick a time as possible.

Thank you so much for supporting us in this challenge and your donation to EACH is very much appreciated.
