Story
"Aren't they amazing!"
I hear this so often when out and about with my trusty side-kick, Spencer. No, It does not refer to our Team Members, although it could, as they are incredible for even considering getting me through this mighty task - THE YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE.
No, the phrase is aimed at all the Guide Dogs that are out there willingly working to give independence. Having had Spencer for just over two years, I can say first hand, as a Blind person, how brilliant and rewarding it is to have the freedom of getting out & about around Yeadon & Guiseley without having to rely all the time on other people being with me. These amazing dogs really are life-changers and that is why our team want to raise as much money as we can to help GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND bring up more guide dogs to assist more blind & visually impaired people.
OUR TEAM.
SPENCER - A Yellow Labrador / Golden Retriever Cross who is 3yrs old and he will be in charge of our fantastic family support team.

THE CHALLENGE.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge consists of a 24 mile route, taking in the Peaks of, "Pen-y-Ghent," "Whernside" & "ingleborough" with an ascent of 5,200ft (1,585m) and completing it in under 12 hours.
Set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our aim throughout 2017 is to raise at least £2,500. If we do, we can then donate a name for a Guide Dog. Now if my Dad was alive today, he would be so proud of what Spencer is doing for me and he would have loved to help other people benefit in the same way. So why not make money for Guide Dogs, name a puppy after Dad and call him, LAWRENCE.
