The Great Walk is an annual event, where Unilever employees, Cancer Researchers and guests come together to raise money for Charity, by walking a full or half marathon. In the last 3 years, The Great Walk has connected over 700 walkers and has raised more than £150,000 for the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group (LOORG) in memory of Renee Metroka, a friend and colleague at Unilever. LOORG supports life-changing clinical research into the pathogenesis and treatment of adult ocular tumours to improve patient care and survival and your donations have meant that LOORG has been able to fund more research into this devastating disease. With The Great Walk heading into year four, we are on a mission to go bigger and better than ever before and make it our biggest year yet!
