Story
Alzheimers has unfortunately affected all of our families, most recently losing Adele's father in Jan 2022 aged 63 to Alzheimers/Frontotemporal Dementia, so following on from our successful fundraising campaign in 2022 Myself (Adele), Steve, Kate and Paul are attempting to raise £1500 for Alzheimers Research UK by completing the following in 2023;
- April - Dirty Reiver Gravel Sportive - (65/120km, 2000m Climbing) - All
- May - Lincoln GP Sportive (160km, 1200m Climbing) - Steve, Paul, Adele, Kate
- May - Outlaw Half Triathlon (1.9km Swim, 90km Ride, 21km Run) Steve
- July - L'Etape du Tour (152km, 4100m Climbing) - All
- July - Outlaw Full Triathlon (3.8km Swim, 180km Ride, 42km Run) - Adele, Kate, Paul
- Sept - Great North Run (21km Run) - Paul, Adele
These are huge events for which we started training for 6 months ago and whilst we cant perform the research ourself, we can do the next best thing, which is raising the funds and awareness! This will help towards more research about this devastating disease that has not only affected our families, but many, many others.
