Back in May 2007, Peter was diagnosed with a rare cancerous brain tumour - Pineal Blastoma - Grade 4. No words can ever express how devastating this news was. 6 weeks of radiotherapy and 9 months of chemotherapy followed under the amazing care of Weston Park Hospital.

Weston Park Hospital is one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the country. It also has a Young Person’s Unit provided by Teenage Cancer Trust where Peter received his care, a true home from home environment during a very difficult time. Weston Park Hospital provides cancer treatment services for patients across Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop and Chesterfield as well as Sheffield. 

Without the support and care of Weston Park Hospital Peter wouldn't be the same person as he is today. Not only did they help Peter beat cancer (cancer free since May 2008) they continue to help Peter through his follow up appointments and their continuing support is just amazing!

Every year "Team Peter" complete the Walk As One event not only to say a massive THANK YOU to Weston Park Hospital but to raise vital funds for the charity that has done some much for Peter (and of course his friends and family) 

The 5k walk is a massive challenge for Peter as because of his cancer treatment he now suffers from Neuropathy (painful nerve damage in his hands and feet) so Walk As One is a massive personal marathon to him.

Peter being Peter wants to see the humour side to everything so yet again we will be raiding our fancy dress box and dressing as Doctor and Nurses...a sight that shouldn't been seen on a Sunday morning!!!!!

Please, please, please can you give as much as you can as this charity is truly an amazing charity that helps so many people. Words can never thank them enough for what they have done for Peter!
