Story
If you know me at all, you will know that ice hockey is a massive part of my life. Earlier this season I joined the Sheffield Storm Ball Hockey Club...think ice hockey but without the ice. I was persuaded by my teammates to sign up for the UK Forums All-Stars Weekend this July in Sheffield.
The All-Stars Weekend is in its 6th year now, and places friends from all over the UK hockey scene in a weekend-long ice hockey tournament, with each team raising money for a specified charity. I am playing for Sheffield Children's Hospital, who provide dedicated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. It will also be a personal challenge for me because I can barely skate! So if you fancy a good laugh at my expense whilst raising money for an excellent cause please donate and/or come down!
Last years event in Cardiff raised over £14,000 and we're aiming to do even better this year, so please donate whatever you can, even if it's only a few pence.
