My youngest son, George is 8 and stammers or has 'bumpy words' as we need to call them. He is a happy, outgoing, confident and talented little boy who has great self-esteem and is not defined by his disfluency.

We are very lucky that we have access to a superb Specialist Speech & Language Therapist but access across the country is sporadic.

The charity I have chosen helps to address this issue by providing training and support to non 'specialist' SAL practitioners across the country and as a result of which providing children like George with the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
