I last ran the GNR on the day of my 60th birthday in 2007, also for The Teenage Cancer Trust. So ten years on here we go again,70th birthday, but this time I have company.

The work the TCT do is superb, creating purpose built facilities, specifically for teenage cancer sufferers and importantly their families and friends. Before these units, teenagers were either treated in childrens wards, or worse still with us old fogies. TCT gives patients and loved ones the best possible chance of recovery. 

Also one of my musical heroes Roger Daltrey CBE, has been the driving force behind TCT concerts and is Honourary Patron.
