UPDATE!!! with Covid having kyboshed our 2020 and 2021 plans we have a new date - 22nd-23rd July!!!!!
BUT it comes with a tougher challenge for Dad (Terry) having had one hip replaced in October 2021 and due the other - pray for us! :) :)
So even a £1 would be incredible as the pain of this is nothing compared to what those in the hospice go through.
Welcome to our National Three Peaks Challenge fundraising
page!
This is no mean feat. We will trek the UK’s highest peaks. A fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as we take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).
Over the course of 24 hours, we will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3,000m. This is a serious and tough challenge which requires a good level of fitness, as well as plenty of grit and determination. This is one of the most highly regarded trekking challenges in the UK.
In feet in case you don’t do meters! - Ben Nevis (4,413ft), Skafell Pike (3,209ft) and Snowdon (3,560ft) one after the other!
I have a vision of our time together somewhat like Jack Whitehall and his dad ‘Travels with my dad’ although with no naked yoga - no one wants to see that!
Dad and I are fairly active and had some fab Father Daughter time 2018 in Las Vegas - almost prep for this challenge as we walked over 40 miles that trip! This time not only do we get to spend valuable time together which is priceless with him living on the other side of the world (him not me, I live on the right side) but we get to raise money for an all important charity too.
Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist and compassionate palliative end of life care for patients facing life limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support in the setting of their choice, without discrimination.
They need to raise allmost £5 million a year to continue to offer this FREE service to patients, families and carers.
Please help us to help them 🤞👍🏻
