English Half Marathon 2019 · 13 September 2019 to 15 September 2019 ·

We're the UK’s only youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity, on a mission to get every young person checking their chest. We want all young people to know the signs and see their GP if they notice any changes. We do this because early detection saves lives.

Story

Carl and I, have decided to fundraise on behalf of this amazing charity for our half marathon in September.  Following my wife Shelley’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2014, she became a boobette for CoppaFeel! to help educate and raise awareness of the importance of getting to know your boobs and pecs.

In the UK, 1 in 8 women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime and over 400 men are diagnosed every year.  Early detection really does save lives!

CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection of breast cancer and ensure the nation is checking their boobs regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.

Coppafeel want everyone to have the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer. Ideally to  live in a world where all breast cancers are diagnosed at the earliest stage possible, at which treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher.
