Hi and welcome to THE NERVE!
THE NERVE is a charity event aimed at making money for Multiple Sclerosis Ireland (MS Ireland)
“Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged.” - Thanks Wikipedia. It affects ten thousand people in Ireland and a massive 2.5 million worldwide. It is a progressive disease and currently does not have a cure.
The event is being run by (us) Geoffrey Carmody and Mary O’Connor. The plan is to run the Limerick marathon after just four months of training for it. The goal is to finish not to race.
