Thanks for taking the time to visit The Pip Foundation just giving page.
We are Jim and Marie Mcmanus, the parents of Pip Mcmanus.
Our beautiful daughter Pip took her own life on December 9th 2015 when she was just 15 years old. The tear in the thread of our family will never be mended. Pip spent her last 3 years fighting against Anorexia Nervosa, malnutrition, depression and self-harm. We do not want Pip’s life and suffering to have been in vain. Whenever she was able, she tried to help others suffering from similar conditions and we are hoping to continue her good work through The Pip Foundation.
We sincerely hope that you will donate to our chosen charity, The Pip Foundation Just Giving Page is raising funds for Anorexia & Bulimia Care (ABC) registered charity 1155686.
To achieve our initial goal, we need to raise £40K to establish a weekly drop-in support for eating disorders in Manchester.
Our dream vision is to create a dedicated independent support centre for Anorexia and Bulimia in Manchester and off shoots across the country, helping people and their families suffering from this totally devastating illness. The centre would be called PIP’S PLACE. This will be the first ever independent centre providing guidance for early intervention, on-going support and education to the community.
This dream vision will need at least £1M to fund a new build (tailor made to our needs), with staff and all the necessary items to bring it to life and secure the services for years to come.
With your support, Pip will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on and her legacy will continue to help the people she tried to help while she was alive.
Should you wish to find out more about our appeal to build Pip's Place, please contact ABC’s Chief Executive Officer, Jane Smith, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
