Story

Thank you to every who has had fun challenging theirselves and donated/fundraised - we are humbled and inspired by you all.  See updates below with some of your wonderful challenges.  Thank you!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, charities are reporting a projected loss of 48% to their voluntary income, and a third wiped off from their total income.  Breathing Matters needs your help - and you can have a little fun to take you out of your isolation boredom at the same time!

From Sunday 26th April 2020 (when the London Marathon was scheduled), the whole of the UK is getting involved in the 2.6 Challenge for the whole of that week. Anyone and everyone should join in.  We are asking you to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26  - you can run/walk/skip 2.6 miles, 2.6km or for 26 minutes; or go up and down the stairs 26 times; or juggle for 2.6 minutes; or do a 26 minute exercise class; or do 26 headers; or toss 26 pancakes ... anything .. and you can take the whole week to do it and you can involve the whole family!  All we ask is that you donate £26 for each challenger.

Breathing Matters helps fund research into pulmonary fibrosis, COVID-19, bronchiectasis and pneumonia and your support will literally be lifesaving!

You can donate directly to this page or, if you want to raise more, make your own fundraising page from our home page and raise more by getting other to donate too:
