Story
Walk The Extra Mile is a song of Remembrance to pay our respects to the brave soldiers, past and present, who scarified their lives.
Walk The Extra Mile is entirely a local project. The song was collaboratively written by the singer, Sadie-Beth Holder, lyricist Simon Talbot and composer Chris Lewis. Local actors were gathered to film the accompanying video in a Shropshire wood where the action was captured and edited by Aaron Child and his company Painted Life Productions. The project has been written, recorded and filmed in Shropshire and will be sung live for the first time at the Shropshire Festival of Remembrance on the 24th October 2017 at Theatre Severn.
They have chosen the support the Royal British Legion as the custodians of Remembrance, safeguarding the memory of those who have given their lives for our freedom through Remembrance education and events. The Legion was founded after the First World War and a century on from the start of the conflict, we're still helping today's Service men and women, veterans, and their families in almost every single aspect of daily life.
