MUMS PLEDGE TO RAISE £125,000 TO SUPPORT LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE WITH CANCER

Two local mothers are joining forces to help raise £125,000 to fund an enhancement of our unit at Leeds General Infirmary Hospital, after both of their sons were supported by us.

Sarah Dawson, from Staveley and Ros Foggin, from Barnsley are calling on locals to support them as they aim to raise the much needed funds towards enhancing our 8 bedded unit, which opened in 2010. The unit is dedicated to treating teenagers with cancer aged 13-18.

Our aim is to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Leeds General Infirmary and also create awareness of the 5 signs and symptoms of cancer in this age group.
