Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We've taken on the challenge of the Reading half marathon together to support the amazing work of the North Devon Hospice. We would love you to sponsor us to help! See what they do at www.northdevonhospice.org.uk
If we raise £750, that will help provide 15 hours of nursing care for a patient and emotional support for 6 families facing the loss of a loved one. Every £25 we manage to raise above this could help provide support to a child whose mum or dad has a life limiting illness.
Teresa has never run anything like this before, her hips ache, her knees hurt, her joints creak, and she is more than twice as old as Ellie-May and Christian but, knowing your donations will really help make a difference to patients and their families and friends is keeping her going.
Ellie-May battled through hip and knee problems and many other ailments to complete the Plymouth half marathon, but is nearly back to full fitness and ready to conquer Reading half marathon in the name of the North Devon Hospice.
Christian's never run much further than from the car park at Saunton to the sea when the tide is out, with a surfboard under his arm but, he's been persuaded by his twin sister to give the Reading half marathon a go. Recently, he tried to go on a training run, but fell flat on his face within the first 100 metres. Therefore, 13 miles might be a bit of a challenge!
