On 30th September 2013, I will be embarking to Nicaragua with Raleigh International (ICS). I'll be volunteering in a team of UK and Nicaraguan volunteers in order to tackle issues around education, health, livelihoods and to strengthen civil society in Nicaragua. 

In order to make this possible, I have to fundraise a minimum of £800.

I will be staying in a rural community in Northern Nicaragua where we hope to deliver sustainable solutions to development issues. 

In 2 and a half months, we will be:

- Conducting interviews with local people in order to find out how we can tackle developmental issus

- Working in construction and improving the infrastructure e.g. building eco ovens. 

- Helping womens empowerment through helping to facilitate projects.

- Improving hygiene, sanitation and water access through building gravity flow water systems, constructing latrines, and 'tippy' taps.
