Jumping off a high ledge to aid research into serious ovarian cancer

Hair for the bear · 6 February 2020
Low grade serous ovarian cancer is a rare and under-researched disease. It affects young women and is resistant to standard treatment. At the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre we are screening panels of new drugs in the laboratory in order to identify those most likely to be beneficial in the clinic.
Since my sister was diagnosed I grew my hair out and cut it all off prior to visiting New Zealand to see her. While here, I have also completed a short fun run to raise awareness and have booked in to jump the Nevis Bungee. The highest bungee in the southern hemisphere with an 8.5 second freefall.
To say I suffer a little vertigo is an understatement.
I will also post video evidence of the event for your delightful entertainment. Alongside the video of my hair loss at the BPC annual conference party in Manchester on 6th February.
Please donate to this cause so that fewer people will experience the suffering Jenny is going through and more people can get the time they deserve with their families.
Thank you
