Story

My grandfather, Alistair MacDougall, passed away as a result of dementia. This is very personal to me and my family. I would be grateful for any donations or sponsorship. An ironman is a huge challenge and I will be pushing myself to the limit to complete this triathlon.

Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK. It’s a devastating and complex condition. Every 3 minutes somebody will develop dementia. There is no cure. There are 900,000 people with dementia in the UK. We at Dementia Support are there for all those who need our help. We reduce loneliness, give the best quality care and provide hope, supporting the whole family.
