Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As part of a college assignment we're all required to plan an event; and rather than being boring and planning an indoor football tournament or a bake sale we have challenged ourselves to climb the highest peak in England, Wales and Scotland in 24 hours! These three peaks are Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scaffel Pike. This challenge will be mentally and physically tiring and quite frankly frightening at the moment but rather than doing it for self fulfilment we have decided to raise funds for the Birmingham Children Hospital's star appeal in the process. The star appeal is an appeal that is targeting people to raise money for a new, and UK's first , rare disease unit. 1 in 17 children suffer from rare diseases and even though we as a group don't know anybody affected by it we all as a group have realised that the progression and recovery of children worse off than us is a big enough factor for us to decide to raise funds for this appeal.
We will be taking part in this challenge on the 8th of May starting in Scotland. We will be extremely grateful for any financial donations through just giving or even a simply share on Facebook or any other social media to raise awareness for the event.
