For several years now, Copley Cricket Club have been working closely with both the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB) towards the creation of significantly upgraded pavilion facilities that can serve the increasing demand of both the cricket club and the wider community. The ECB have committed significant funding to the project and the new plans include increased community space, improved facilities for girls and the needs of the disabled and new changing rooms and showers. The clubs emphasis has always beed centred around the development of it's junior section which now includes the newly formed South Halifax Girls Cricket Team. Further details of the project and photo's showing progress todate can be found at www.copleycc.co.uk
On 11th March, the cricket club are embarking on a 24 hour cycle-athon. We are using 2 static excercise bikes to cycle the distance from Copley CC to all the test grounds in England and Wales, a distance of over 1000 miles.
