Tom rides London to Paris July 2022

London to Paris Cycle with Discover Adventure 2020 · 22 July 2020 to 26 July 2020 ·
I was due to ride this in 2020 but for some reason it got postponed...
My Dad has never been one for many words, but confirming the worst was one thing I’ll remember forever: it’s the big P, as he refers to it.
As any sensible 28 year old would do upon hearing this, I immediately got a tattoo of my parents’ wedding photograph and proceeded to refuse to talk about my Dad’s diagnosis going forward. I did start cycling at a similar time and let me take frustration out on the Sussex roads, BMW drivers and Deliveroo moped riders (I have ultimate respect for those delivering food on a fixie or road bike in Hilly Brighton).
A close friend cycled the London to Paris in memory of her late mum and this has inspired me to ride a little further than my usual Sunday route.
I hope I can make my Dad proud and fundraise a decent amount to continue the fantastically innovative research taking place at Parkinson’s UK.
Please donate what you can - I genuinely appreciate your generosity.
I will be adding to my story both in terms of training regime and experience of Parkinson’s.
Love to you all in advance and hoot and wave if you see me out on my beloved bike.
