Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 23rd April 2017 I will be running the London marathon to raise money for the British Thoroughbred retraining centre. This charity was founded in 1991 and was the first charity in Britain dedicated to the rehabilitate and training of retired racehorses. The charity was previously known as Thoroughbred Rehabilitate Centre however they have recently celebrated their 25th anniversary and evolved to become The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre.

I am aiming to raise £1500 to go towards giving the training and care these beautiful animals need so they can take the first step of the rest of their lives. I would be very greatful for any donations towards this.

About the charity

The BTRC is dedicated to racehorse welfare, retraining, rehoming & protection for life. Thousands of horses leave racing each year and many face an uncertain future. The BTRC provides an environment where these horses can be re-educated and retrained for use in other equestrian disciplines.
