No young person should have their future put on hold because they can’t afford the basics that most people take for granted. That’s why we provide small financial grants for disadvantaged 16 to 25 year olds from Birmingham to support them into work, training or education.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a youth development worker Matt’s life was dedicated to inspiring Birmingham's communities and supporting young people to realise their goals. He was taken from us at just the age of 35, leaving friends and family across Birmingham and beyond. It was typical of Matt that having been told he was going to lose his 2.5-year battle with oesophageal caner he used his last few weeks to set up a charity which would carry on his life’s work.

The Matt Kendall Foundation is dedicated to helping young people
to overcome barriers and fulfill their potential. They provide grants to 16-25 year olds from a disadvantaged background to support them in to work, education or training.

I will be dragging my aging frame around the Brighton Marathon course to  raise money for this excellent charity, and I would be very grateful for any donations you can make. Run entirely by volunteers the Foundation will make sure your money is used to helping people to access  the sorts of opportunitiesnthat many of us  take for granted
