Story
So August last year I broke the "anterior talofibular" ligament in my my ankle, this meant I couldn't walk for about 6 weeks and I was unable to run until about January. Obviously the only thing to do was sign up to a marthon in October, because I was feeling pretty fed up with limping about unable to do anything, and felt it would be a good target...
As well as being a big personal achievement I wanted this to be an opportunity to raise some much needed funds for a charity very close to me; having known several motorcyclists who have required and received emergency care administered by the air ambulance. Having a girlfriend who works in the emergency care sector has also really brought home how important these peope are!
Don't forget, you're not just donating for the joy of watching me stagger 26.2188 miles, you're also able to grin to yourself most other days before hand, knowing I'm out there staggering the hundreds of miles I'll have to do to be able to stagger the final 26.2188!
Any quids you can give would be gratefully received and I promise to be thinking of all doners whilst running towards the line!
