I have decided to walk from London to Brighton in memory of my mother in law Lynne who passed away in July 2012. I have decided to complete the trek wearing full Firefighting gear as Lynne helped me to accomplish my dream of becoming a firefighter and if it was not for her support and encouragement it would not have felt achievable.

I miss her so much and I know she would have been so proud. Thinking of Lynne will get me through the tough times during the walk.

The work that the British Heart Foundation do is so so important. It is such a worthwhile cause and one that really means a lot to me and my family.
