When the corona virus struck and we were put into a 12 week lock down our first reaction was what the hell are we going to do. Then I logged my latest ergo score on the Concept web page and realised that with a bit of effort, I could do a million metres within one indoor season which ends on 30^th April. It meant doing at least 10,000 metres per day for 35 days. I had always thought that, whilst something I would like to do, it was normally beyond me. However, I took up the challenge which I should complete by Sunday 19^th April. It then struck that perhaps I should try and get some sponsorship for one of the Corona virus charity and I have chosen Nottingham University Hospitals Charity as many of my club members work there. I have opened a Just Giving page with a target of £100,000. As my old Dad used to say “Aim for the moon. What is the worse that can happen if you miss, you may hit Mars instead” However to get any chance of reaching this target I need to get the message out to over 5000 people. I don’t know that may people so please share this request and get the word out. Let us show what the rowing community and friends can do.I will start the fund with £500 which represents the cost of the diesel I won’t be using as the car is idle. I may also get a grant for our holiday let which will be a lot more than we stand to lose and if I get the grant I will pledge another £1000 into the just giving page.I think that is all. 

Please help these poor workers who may be terrified to go to work. They

are very professional and brave in my world.
