Story
Update: 7th November
This time last week I was in Dublin's fair city walking the 2011 marathon. Really enjoyed the first half, walking through the beautiful Phoenix Park is always amazing and the weather was awesome. The second half brought rain, lots of it, just to remind us where we were! Great to have completed the race along with my mum, sis and aunt. Next stop Hawaii for a run along the beach!!!
Thanks all who have sponsored me, the Katie Piper Foundation is a really deserving charity. I'm still accepting sponsorship, so if you would like to make a donation, please do.

Update: 23rd October - well, not many more miles in my legs since my initial posting .... gone and done my neck in though, attempting a backward roll with my 4 year old on Friday evening. When did they become so difficult to do? If I look very focused on race day, it's only cos I can't turn my end from side to side... who said it would be easy?

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm a dedicated runner and ran the Budapest marathon (way back in 2002) but this time around, I'm resisting my naturally competitive urge to run and on October 31st, I'll be WALKING the 26 mile route around Dublin (my hometown) with my Mum, Sis and Aunt.
Training so far? Er, I did a 3 hour walk yesterday, followed by an ice bath to calm an inflamed Illiotibial band :) (The ice bath alone deserves a donation!!!)
The next few weeks will be fun!
Please give generously to my fundraising appeal for the Katie Piper Foundation, which does an incredible job supporting those who have been affected by burns and disfigurement, aiming to offer greater support, treatments and generally promote greater acceptance in society for those who suffer. This is such a worthwhile cause. Please donate if you can.
Thanks, Trace x
