Please join me in supporting the North Wales Cancer Appeal

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
Hello Everyone
Thanks for taking time the to read my story and my fundraising challenge.
In my professional capacity as an employee of Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board for over 30 years, I have seen first hand the truly amazing work the North Wales Cancer Appeal and the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre provides in giving the much needed support and dedication to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer and their families.
On a personal level, having had the misfortune of people close to me requiring treatment at the Centre it is a difficult and emotive time for all. The care and advice provided by the team was outstanding and we really couldn't ask for more. With their support and dedication there is always the sense of hope.
I have chosen to run the London marathon in a bid to show my gratitude to the expert team who are committed to person centred care in helping people live well with cancer. I myself am keen jogger, although the furthest distance I have previously run is a half marathon in 2013, so 9 years later (and 9 years older!) I am taking on this enormous personal challenge which I am both apprehensive and excited about.
With the support of family, friends, colleagues and various fund raising initiatives I am planning, I am hoping to raise my target for much needed funds to help the centre continue it's amazing work. Any contribution, no matter what value, is gratefully appreciated
Many thanks
Diolch yn fawr,
