My dad died when I was 12.  Two years later a wonderful man came into my life when he married my mum.  Over the years we had up and downs but he came to be my close friend and advisor.  He was diagnosed with COPD 6 years ago. This disease robbed him of the ability to laugh as it led to stressful coughing.   In March 2017 he was referred to St Barnabas Day Hospice where he found care, counselling and happiness. He died suddenly from a heart attack in Worthing hospital in September 2017 so he never ended his days within the hospice but those short months gave him and, in turn, my mum so much that I wanted to do "something" to help St B's.   I walked the Night to Remember last June literally "off the cuff" and raised £500 and then I read in the Autum 2017 newsletter about the Dalai Lama Trek for St Barnabas in October 2018  - a 10 day adventure including 5 day trek covering some 65km in Indian Himalayas.  So I signed up!  

I have had amazing support from my PW Physique & Fitness and to this end on Wednesday 7 March I'm attending all workouts for that day which amount to 10 sessions  5 hrs in total - Watch this space I know there's more to come!!!

In short I MUST raise £2,240 by 26 July 2018 to ensure I can participate then the balance by end of September 2018.  I'm going to do EVERYTHING I can to get fitter, stronger and with more stamina - I would be so grateful if you could help me reach my financial target as by completing the trek I will be helping St Barnabas to continue to offer amazing support and care to those in need.
