Story
Tracey and Shirley have volunteered with the Kindness Homeless Street Team since 2020. They have given up over 400 hours of their own time volunteering and plans to do the West Highland Way to raise awareness and funds for the charity starting on the 25/04/2023. Tracey and Shirley will power on through the massive challenge to show their dedication to the charity and the people we support.
Kindness Homeless Street Team is a charity that supports the homeless and vulnerable people within Glasgow and surrounding areas. We have a pop-up soup kitchen in George Square that covers up to 130 people each outing. We hold this 3 times per week!! This offers hot food, cold food, toiletries, hot drinks, cold drinks, clothing and underwear. We also host a donation centre that acts as a food bank over 6 days at 417-419 London Road G40 1AG. Here we act as a non-referral food bank and support drop in referrals.
The charity are a non profit charity with only volunteers throughout the charity – therefore we rely heavily on the support of others like Tracey and Shirley’s fundraising.
