Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km cycle ride · 16 August 2015

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During my early 20's I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  It is a period of my life which I have always preferred not to dwell upon but at the time, I said I would like to raise money to fund further research for this and other blood cancers.  Cycling has always been a part of my life and so, I believe that this is the best activity for me to partake in and raise money.  I have already faced challenges this year both mentally and physically by training to do this event and having to ride 4 qualifying rides of 200k, 300, 400k and 600k in order to qualify to take part.  The real challenge is yet to come and in just over 6 weeks I will be heading  off to Paris.

I would like to invite people to donate to this charity and thank you in advance for doing so.  This is my way of thanking everyone who looked after me and suffered with me at a dark period in my life.
