At the start of 2018 I decided that during this year I would run a 10k race in memory of my sister Denise who lost her battle with cancer on 2 October 2017. I started the NHS Couch to 5k training plan just a couple of weeks after Denise died and ran my first Parkrun on 23 December 2017. I have never run 10k so this is a huge challenge for me. During her illness Denise was cared for at the Sue Ryder Hospice at Leckhampton Court in Cheltenham. I’m running this race to raise funds for Sue Ryder, to thank them for the care and love they showed Denise during her time  with them.
