I lost my best friend & Nana last year to this cruel illness. My lovely Nan really struggled with her dementia in the last couple of years leading up to her passing. We had such a special relationship and I really struggled seeing this change her and how much she relied on her family towards the end especially as she was such an independent woman all her life. 

I would do anything for her but not every person has this so I wanted to raise money to raise awareness of the effects of dementia and make sure no one has to suffer on their own. I have decided to do a fundraiser along with some family for The Alzheimer's Society. We will be doing a 13 mile trek across the Brecon Beacons to raise money to go towards further research and development to help find a cure or reduce the effects of living with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
