Dads Dementia our story - fundraiser walks for Alzheimer's Society

Trek26 Lake District 2025 - 26 miles · 31 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Watching someone you love with Alzheimer’s is one of the most heartbreaking things I believe a person can go through, but this is nothing compared to how scary, confusing, frustrating and truly lonely it must feel to be the one living with this truly cruel disease.
My amazing dad Terry got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in January 2024, a long overdue diagnosis and as a family we have faced so many challenges. I am raising money because Alzheimers is cruel, it shatters lives, families, relationships, breaks hearts, creates unimaginable confusion, guilt, heartache and I can only dream of a world where this cruel disease doesn’t exist anymore.

In addition to the Alzheimer’s walk I will also be walking the following:
Monsal Trail (both ways) - 17 miles - April 25
Pathfinder march - 46 Miles - 7 June 25
Jurassic coast - 81 Miles - Aug/ Sep 25
And plenty of training walks across the UK.
There’s more we can do, so much more, raising awareness, fundraise, fight, keep moving forward in hope that one day Alzheimer’s can be beaten. That’s why I would love your support - together we can beat this cruel disease.
