Story
Alongside a group of fabulous friends, on 1st August we’ll be taking on a 26-mile trek along the North Norfolk Coast to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
Dementia is something that has affected our family in the cruellest possible way. I’ll be walking in memory of my father-in-law, Steve Lloyd, who we sadly lost in September 2025 after watching the devastating impact this illness can have, not only on the person living with dementia, but on everyone who loves them.
Like so many families, we experienced the heartbreak of seeing someone kind, funny and full of life taken away by this disease. It’s an experience that stays with you, and one we wouldn’t wish on anyone. Taking on this challenge is my way of honouring Steve’s memory, raising awareness, and hopefully helping other families facing the same journey.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Alzheimer’s Society continue their incredible work supporting people living with dementia today, whilst funding vital research and campaigning for better care and understanding in the future.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement and donations, it truly means the world to us. Together, we can help bring hope to everyone affected by dementia.
