I am taking part in trek26 northyorkmoors, on 12th July 2025 as I lost my mum to Alzheimer’s November 2024, and my auntie to dementia in 2022.

I have also been a home care assistant for the last 6 years, and have helped many people, and there families to live with this awful disease, so hopefully I can help a few more families, with the donations, thank you.

This is my story, I wrote this 3 days after my mum had a minor fall, and was taking into hospital, 4 weeks later we got her into a care home.

Anything you can give to help is very much apriciated. That's why I'm doing this walk, to help all those effected by dementia.

As a family it is one of the hardest things to live with, losing a loved one, over and over, through all the different stages, there are good days and bad, but anything we can do, to just have a few more good days, then it's worth it. Please share with as many people as you can and help me raise as much as we can.

The update nobody wants to write. Mum finally lost her battle on Nov 30th 2024, the last few months have been tough, especially today as I write this, it would of been her birthday, but it just makes me more determined to do this walk, to try and help others who are infected by this horrible disease.
