Story

My father was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's at the age of 64, unfortunately the disease had already advanced too far to be treated with anything that could have helped arrest the decline.

For anyone that has sadly had to watch their loved ones suffer with the effects of memory loss and confusion compounded with the erosion of their dignity, the feeling of helplessness for everyone involved is heart-breaking.

The Alzheimer's charity helped my Mother connect with professionals that could answer questions  and with a network that helps to understand the stages of the disease and what to expect, although all journeys vary there are many commonalities that can be shared.

Our aim on this walk is to raise money to help the Alzheimer's Charity continue its great work to help other sufferers dealing with the illness and find a cure to end the suffering of millions of people all over the world.

Thank you
