I will be spending 12 hours trekking (26 miles) in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. I couldn't have picked a more fitting charity and event to honour my late father who sadly passed away from this awful disease 2 years ago. My dad and I would often go for long walks in the countryside when I was young. We would always end up getting lost (no GPS or mobile phones then!), only to turn up hours later back at the campsite facing the wrath of my mum saying she was worried sick! Any donation will be gratefully received. Lets work together to find a cure for this devastating disease which stripped away my fathers dignity and left him a shadow of his former self in his final years.
