My Father is currently suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease. Having witnessed his decline over the last few years, I fully support the mission of Alzheimer's Society to try and research new ways to help and support those suffering. This devastating disease is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I know walking this gigantic trek will not create a cure, but it might raise awareness and some much needed funding and hopefully work towards a future where this disease is controllable and manageable.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
