Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

Dr Helen Elliott and her husband, Clive, are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, in July along with two close friends in order to raise funds for a local organisation and in memory of their son, George, who sadly passed away in October 2016.

George was a volunteer with Hartlepool Families First, based in York Road, and supported children and young people with additional needs and profound learning disabilities.

For the past 29 years, Hartlepool Families First has supported some of the most disadvantaged and disabled children and young adults in our area.

They support children and young people, along with their families, who have a wide range of conditions including: Autism, CerebralPalsy, Down Syndrome, Global Development Delay, Rett Syndrome and learning disabilities plus some rarer conditions such as Pitt-Hopkins syndrome, Rubinstein-Tabi syndrome and chromosome deficiencies.

Their work makes a difference to those who most need it.  Give generously and help them continue their work.
