Story

So almost 20 years ago now I met my best mate at Sutton Coldfield tennis club, we came from completely different backgrounds but had a great friendship playing tennis in our youth

I lost my mom to cancer when I was 19 and it was one of the toughest periods of my life, lost friends, money and almost my house through drink and drugs etc and not coping with the loss of my mom

Greg lost his Dad not too long after this and I was not in a position to help, I was lost and so was our friendship.

Ten years later, we rekindled our friendship and it was like nothing had ever changed from back in the day, no grudges were held and we became best friends again, this time climbing mountains.

After a drunken phone call one year ago, almost to the day, one of us said "shall we go to Everest", and now we are actually doing it.

Given how cancer has lost its prevalence in the media somewhat since Covid and as it has directly impacted our lives,  I think that its only right that we should try and raise as much money as possible for the charities of this awful disease and in doing so make my Mom and Greg's Dad very proud in our achievements.

We are both successful in our own right but doing this for a special cause close to our hearts will no doubt be one of our biggest achievement in life.

The trip has been fully funded already so 100% of the money will be going to cancer research.

I hope you can spare some money and help us raise lots of money for this great charity.

Thanks in advance
