Story

Show your support for The Tricycle goes Nuclear

The Tricycle goes Nuclear – a festival of films, talks, discussions, and exhibitions- will run concurrently with THE BOMB - a partial history. A season of plays by Lee Blessing, Ryan Craig, John Donnelly, David Greig, Amit Gupta, Zinnie Harris, Ron Hutchinson, Diana Son and Colin Teevan, exploring the political history of the Nuclear Bomb and its proliferation from 1940 to the present day. This is a very ambitious season for the Tricycle costing over £xxx. We hope to raise £xxxx through online donations, so please show how important this issue is through making a contribution.

The environmental, social and political debate over nuclear proliferation is one of the most fiercely contested nationally and internationally. And with the global situation and the questions about the renewal of Trident, it is crucial the public are aware of these complex issues.

To support the production the Tricycle will produce an expansive printed programme including historical and background research, a chronology and further reading lists for every participant. There will also be a series of post performance discussions with an expert panel, including a public debate where two major figures will explore the questions behind nuclear energy. Donors will receive updates and information on all The Tricycle Goes Nuclear events running throughout the season.
