Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well - we did it! Denise and I managed the 19 (actually my milometer said it was almost 21) miles on-road in about 2.5 hours and Stan heroically finished the 25miles off-road in about 3.5 hours (unfortunately Andrew had to pull out due to family commitments).  This was despite lashing rain for most of the route and some high winds and we even managed to enjoy it.  I fell off my bike within 2 miles of the end (only a minor incident - I was stationery at traffic lights at the time) and sustained very little more than some bruising, mainly to my ego.  Still it amused some locals who advised me to lay off the hard stuff before getting on my bike in future.  Actually this was only after making sure that I was OK! 

Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored us.  As you can see we managed to raise an impressive £373 between us - not bad in these straightened times!  Denise is talking about doing the 35 miles on-road next year.  If I even look like agreeing to join her, please shoot me!!!
