We're a group of students from the University of Kent who are participating in a Sponsored Silence between 25th-29th November 2013 from 8am to 8pm each day in order to raise awareness and funds for Rape Crisis.

We believe that the concept of rape and sexual assault & violence can often be misconstrued in social contexts and blame can be thrown in the wrong direction - making it harder for victims of such acts to speak out and seek the help they require. This isn't right and so, for the week of the 25th, we will be taking a stand by participating in this silence to honour the victims who couldn't come forward and tell their story.
