The United Nation have described Yemen as the ‘‘world’s worst humanitarian crisis.’’
- Around 80% of Yemen’s population, including 12 million innocent children are in urgent need of assistance as they lack sufficient access to food, water, and healthcare.
- Around 71-78% of Yemenis are living in extreme poverty with 20.5 million people unable to access safe water.
- The crisis continues to worsen due to a lack of media
coverage and financial support. - An estimated 85,000 children under the age of 5 may have died from extreme hunger and disease ever since the war in Yemen.
- As a result of the current pandemic, the consequences within Yemen are deadlier than almost anywhere else in the world.
- A child dies every 10 minutes from malnutrition and disease.
- 19.3 Million are in desperate need of healthcare and
protection services with 1.4 million suspected cases of Cholera.
