Three Peaks Challenge · 29 June 2019

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

This might be insane and even I've questioned, how the hell I'll manage it, but it's something I've longed to do for a while now so here goes.

On the 29th June 2019 and finishing the next day, I'm climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, raising money and awareness for a charity so close to my heart.

I want to test my own physical and mental strength whilst proving Crohn's Disease doesn't define who we are (it's just a part of us) and won't stop sufferers living a life they've dreamed of. So there may be tears, aches and shitting along the way but if that means raising money, for example, for new hospital equipment to help IBD patients or possibly getting one step closer to finding a cure, then I will reach the top (then the bottom) of those three mountains within 24 hours!

£500 is the aim but I'd love to raise as much as I can. Half of the funds will go to Crohn's and Colitis UK and the other half to the Mid Essex Network.

So please dig deep and wish me luck! I have 3 months to train!
