London Landmarks Half Marathon 2022 · 3 April 2022 ·
In May 2021, my dad sadly lost his life after a six month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. It was a cruel disease which saw him deteriorate so quickly without any warning signs.
I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK to help fundraise for continued research and support for families experiencing a familiar struggle.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future.
I will be running in memory of my Dad, whose lust for life, charisma and laughter is so dearly missed.
