Story

Vanessa's wonderful, lovely Dad, Richard, was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in September 2016. The diagnosis came out of the blue. He had none of the obvious symptoms of prostate cancer, just a slightly swollen ankle. A blood test to rule out a blood clot showed very, very high levels of "PSA" in his blood. It is too far advanced to "cure", but hormone therapy, chemo and a clinical trial may give options.

As anyone who knows Vanessa can vouch, she is not good at being unable to "fix" things.  With Hannah Ambrose's support she decided to throw her energies into getting fitter and to try and raise money for Cancer Research UK. 10K isn't very long for many of people, but for her its quite a big deal.

Even more amazingly, her friends from the arbitration group at Herbert Smith Freehills have signed up to run with her too. Some of the team are seasoned runners and others are first timers. Having so much support at such a difficult time has been wonderful. Thank you to each and every one of these lovely people.

If you do feel able to donate something, however small, we would be hugely grateful.
